Falling for Fall.

Shew! Summer is officially over, and here in the studio we are welcoming fall with open arms.

Antoinette is a busy bee over in the glazing studio and I, Jessica, will be your guest blogger! Our showroom is busting at the seams with new and exciting pieces as we beef up for the Holidays. (I know! Can you believe it?) Therefore, I found it only necessary to hit on the basics of building a fall vignette. Pottery is a great way to showcase your personality while being a functional piece in your home. With so much creativity in each piece, building décor is almost effortless.

Any great decorator will tell you that there are absolutely no rules in decorating, however, I ask one small thing…don’t get hung up on specific “fall colors” but rather incorporate with what you have, or what you absolutely MUST HAVE from our showroom. With newbies coming in daily it was quite a task for me to narrow down choices for a great start to an even better fall vignette.

These made the cut! Lisa Cooper, an in-studio artist, has captured my full attention.

The colors in each painting and print are nothing less than excellent, I can’t wait to add her work to my own personal gallery. The Redman duo has done it again with their fun funky take on pottery. Berries no more? Have no fear, use your current  (or new) berry bowl as a catch- all for your keys on your entrance table, or a cute little white pumpkin.

Just like the white pumpkin, a printed napkin gives a modern take and a finishing touch to your perfect fall vignette. Arranging is always a personal preference, but my favorite way to pull all your gathered pieces together is with a few fresh cuts, sunflowers being my top choice. I hope this gets those creative juices running for fall, and don’t forget the showroom is fully stocked with great finds from Redman to many more.
