Hey, its Jessica again to talk Holiday! With “Tis the Season” here I found it so necessary to talk about the hostess. Parties, parties and more parties are literally just around the corner.. I mean ours is next week, check out our PARTY. Ok, so back to business, let’s talk hostess. The work involved in hostessing a party, dinner, or the simplest of get togethers requires the upmost of positive energy and tons of time. What’s not to thank? So here at the Kinnakeet Clay Studio and Showroom we have pulled together a list of items to make that perfect endowment.
So here are our top 3 picks for that perfect hostess gift. What makes these gifts so great? Well, they are handmade, locally in our studio, and under $20! Its just a little something to show your appreciation for the invite and a thank you for the wonderful time you had.
1. The mini catch-all bowl is a superb option. (I personally would do a set of three, but thats just me) These little bowls are perfect for so many different things. A kitchen catch-all makes all the difference when cooking or organizing ingredients. The hostess will be utterly pleased.
2. The magnet vase, one of our top sellers in the showroom, offers that hostess a fun and funky gift that will certainly become a conversation piece in his/her home, who knew a refrigerator, could look so good? We offer a variety of colors and textures sure to speak to any hostess. Want to get crazy? Bring a small variety of flowers and put that beauty to work right away.
3. And lastly, the coveted jar frog, surely the most sought after gift in our showroom. Put a modern twist on that all-time favorite. What is a jar frog you ask? A simple piece of detailed stoneware that one sets atop a jar and inserts fresh cut flowers… Viola! One stem or ten you’ll create a beautiful arrangement.
So there you have it, a heads up on what’s what in hostess gifting. We made it practically effortless for you to show your hostess how much you honor and appreciate your invite to that special gathering this holiday season. Need a few more ideas? Shew! Summer is officially over, and here in the studio we are welcoming fall with open arms.
Antoinette is a busy bee over in the glazing studio and I, Jessica, will be your guest blogger! Our showroom is busting at the seams with new and exciting pieces as we beef up for the Holidays. (I know! Can you believe it?) Therefore, I found it only necessary to hit on the basics of building a fall vignette. Pottery is a great way to showcase your personality while being a functional piece in your home. With so much creativity in each piece, building décor is almost effortless.
Any great decorator will tell you that there are absolutely no rules in decorating, however, I ask one small thing…don’t get hung up on specific “fall colors” but rather incorporate with what you have, or what you absolutely MUST HAVE from our showroom. With newbies coming in daily it was quite a task for me to narrow down choices for a great start to an even better fall vignette.
